Psychpop prince, goth rock guru and baroque acoustic troubadour PAUL ROLAND is a prolific and fiercely independent recording artist with 25 diverse albums to his credit ranging from gothic rock through baroque psychpop to highly literate, wistful acoustic vignettes and character sketches.
In recent years Paul Roland has established himself as a composer of contemporary classical works, having produced a gothic ballet (‘Nosferatu-The Curious Case of Jonathan Harker’ premiered in Italy), a Gothic chamber opera (‘Carmilla’) and a 30-minute ‘Grimm Fantasy’ for orchestra.
Since the release of his first album ‘The Werewolf of London’ in 1980 (a John Peel favourite and a regular featured album at London’s legendary Bat Cave) Roland has earned a loyal cult following in the UK, Europe and the US.
