Frank Kock
Reenactor
Frank Kock, born in 1970, is a notable social worker and historical reenactor based in Lübeck, Germany. He has been actively involved in historical reenactment since 1999 and joined the Society for Creative Anachronism in 2006. He is also a former member of the “Hansevolk zu Lübeck,” a group focused on reenacting the late 15th century in northern Germany.
Kock is significantly involved with the Geschichtserlebnisraum Roter Hahn, a unique historical experience site in Lübeck. This site, originally established in 1999 as an adventure playground, has evolved into a space combining youth work and historical education. Children and adolescents engage in various activities such as building reconstructions of medieval structures, learning ancient crafts, and taking care of animals. This approach helps them connect with history in a hands-on and engaging manner (EXARC) (Fantasy Festival) (EXARC).
In addition to his social work, Kock contributes to the Geschichtserlebnisraum by focusing on educational programs, the reconstruction of artifacts, and the presentation of ancient crafts.
